City sightseeing Buffet breakfast served at hotel restaurant Meet your tour guide at hotel to start your first contact with the city. Starting by Puerto Madero area: rather contrasting port district. In 1991, its huge warehouses and silos where remodeled and redesigned, to finally integrate the river to the city and to create a new corporative, residential, hotel and gastronomically district, Continue to the historical May Square (Plaza de Mayo) surrounded by the Government House (Pink House), the Metropolitan Cathedral and the ancient City-Hall, bohemian San Telmo; the colorful neighborhood of La Boca – and Boca Juniors soccer stadium – “La Bombonera” corus nickname; the Obelisk, passing by one of the widest avenues in the world, namely, 9 of July Boulevard as well as the famous Colon Opera House. Cannot miss Recoleta, with a scent of French charm, to enjoy a visit to its artistic cemetery, where Evita Peron´s tomb is, among others of prominent local characters.

The majestic city of San Carlos de Bariloche lies on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi, which combined with mountains and forests makes up the context of one of the most beautiful sites on Earth.
Bariloche was founded in 1902. Its name is a combination of “Carlos Wiederhold”, who settled down the first general store in the area (that is what “San Carlos” stands for), and a deformation of the word “vuriloche” (“different people, people from the back or from the other side”), used by the Mapuche people to refer to other native dwellers from the eastern zone of the Andes Mountain Range before their own arrival in this region.
Lying on the West of the Province of Río Negro and 1,640 kilometers away from the city of Buenos Aires, Bariloche offers all the services and amenities necessary for visitors to choose this place as the perfect location to rest at any season.
On arrival at airport, please collect luggage and proceed to the arrivals hall where you will join your local guide for transfer to downtown. Accommodation will be at Cacique Inacayal hotel , located over Nahuel Huapi lake shore, close to Civic Centre and commercial streets of Bariloche city. Welcome drink included.

Discovery Scenic Tour
After breakfast served at hotel breakfast room , meet your guide to start the tour heading through Ezequiel Bustillo Avenue : road borders Nahuel Huapi Lake. At Playa Bonita, 8 kilometers from Bariloche, we will admire Huemul Island. About 10 kilometers forward, passing by different nature landscapes, we will reach Campanario Hill base. Here, we will take a chair lift which will take to the top ( 1.050 m.a.s.l.) from where you will be able to admire one of the most beautiful and fascinating views in this area.
You will be able to the see Perito Moreno and Nahuel Huapi lakes, Trébol Lagoon, San Pedro and Llao Llao Peninsulas, Victoria Island, Otto Hill, Cathedral Hill and Bariloche city. We will then continue our way and, after passing San Pedro peninsula area, we will get to Llao Llao peninsula where the Llao Llao Hotel & Resort and San Eduardo Chapel, two architectonic treasures stand. Continuing we will cross the golf courses, Angostura bridge over Angostura river which connects Moreno and Nahuel Huapi lakes and Bahia Lopez, at the foot of Mt. Lopez. Further on, we will arrive at the panoramic lookout, a natural balcony, from where we will admire Moreno lake and Llao Llao Peninsula. Return to hotel. Overnight.

An interesting array of leisure activities complete the charm of Bariloche and its area: we recommend hiking, biking, rafting, visiting peaceful & lovely Villa La Angostura village nearby or to the ancient Arrayanes forest. Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast and check-out at hotel, departure to local airport for flight to Buenos Aires. You’ll be greeted by your tour guide at Aeroparque Jorge Newbery and continue with private transfer to the Buenos Aires Grand hotel for one overnight.
On your farewell night, we suggest going out for Buenos Aires’ traditional music: Tango. Enjoy a Dinner & Tango show at one of the Tango houses in town.
After breakfast and check-out, meet in the lobby with our tour guide for transfer to EZEIZA International Airport to board your flight to USA.

Prize: One (1) 4 Day/ 3 Night Island Expert Travel vacation package at one of the following hotels (Jewel Runaway Bay, Jewel Piper’s Cove or Jewel Dunns River), to be awarded each year – drawn 12/31. Retail value of prize is approximately $1,500 – $2,000 for hotel stay – accommodation is for two (2) adults. Reservations are subject to availability and blackout dates will apply.
